In this city, east of Moscow, in Siberia, was the "House of Special Purpose" that was used to house the ousted Romanovs. In the home's basement, they were gunned down. Their remains were buried in the countryside outside the city. The House was razed during Yeltin's day. The bones were discovered and have since been reburied in the church where Peter the great and other tsars are buried, in St. Petersburg. If you visit this city on the Trans-Siberian, you can visit a memorial on the spot where the shot, hacked up and charred bodies were hastily buried and later discovered. Really, only bone fragments were found. - 2009 email
