There have been 3x where I have been down in a metro system in an international metropolis, standing in front of a map, wondering to myself, "How am I going to figure this one out?" First, was in Tokyo. A Japanese girl helped me out then, thank goodness. Second time, I was in Seoul, with Kade. And the third time was after our first day walking in Moscow. I told Kade, "Let's just sit and relax for a while. I cannot think about that map. It's too overwhelming."

Fried Chicken in South Korea
When we visited Seoul, I remember one night going to a restaurant. It appeared to be a chain, but not like a fast food chain. It was known for its fried chicken. I remember customers smoking in the restaurant, and that a headache was building, This was many years after smoking was prohibited in the USA. That aspect surprised me since Seoul was so advanced in many ways - certainly economically. But back to the chicken. It was delicious! I think we even went back to spot a second time. Growing in the American Deep South, I know when fried chicken is tasty. And on my travels, what I pleasant discovery it is to find it somewhere else. Thailand also has amazing fried chicken.

South Korea, 2004
This is a work in progress!
After breakfast with the Lees, they took us to the DMZ.
Seoul Tower
We loved this style of eating. And the flavors were so good.
South Korean friends we first met in Thailand.
We were taking a train from Seoul to Pusan. And from Pusan, we were taking an overnight boat to Japan.
The ferry took us to Japan, where we spent several days with our friend Kana. Once we completed our trip to Japan, we return to South Korea by ferry. This is where these scans will resume now. We spent a few days in Pusan, then returned to Seoul.
Cable car ride above Pusan.
