I went to Soi Sukhumvit 33/1 to see some of the renovated shophouses.

After that, I made my way to Soi 8.

I had lunch with a friend at Viva on Soi 8.  Afterwards, we went down to Central Embassy to Siwilai City Club .

I was very impressed with Siwilai City Club.  Goes to show, you don't have to always go to high-floor rooftop bars to experience the best.

When we were done, we walked across the street to One City Centre.  Before going into OCC, I was able to take this image of Central Embassy.  You can see Siwilai City Club.

On the elevator ride up to Akara Sky Hanuman Rooftop Bar, we noticed it had started raining.  Unfortunately, it never let up, and the wind was gusting.  Although we were able to order cocktails, the outside area was not open.  After a long wait, we just left.  I had to return to officially count it and to see the city skyline.  Supposedly, Hanuman has the best overall views of Bangkok.  Click here for a preview of what I saw later.

It's one of the higher-end places.
