This is the old part of Bangkok, where coffee shops open at 5 AM and close at 2:30 PM - simple menus, toasted bread w/ custard, slow-changing. And this is in a city with 300+ Starbucks and an unbelievable # of other chains and independent coffee houses. Bangkok is on the move, yet tradition holds true.
