Char Rooftop Bar

We had a rooftop bar on our minds this day.  That was our late afternoon/evening plan.  

First we had to get some lunch.

This is a food market not far from Kade's family home.  We just popped in shortly after they opened.  It will be packed at lunch and dinner, and on weekends.  Food stalls line the walls.

On to Tesco Lotus

This is the food court at Tesco Lotus (akin to Walmart Supercenter).  However, unlike hypermarts back in the USA, these TL complexes contain restaurants, coffee shops, ice cream parlors, food halls and so much more.  They are like mini-malls in a way.  You could eat in the food court every day for a month and get tasty meals - all different.

We then walked down to the Topps Supermarket food court at Central Pinklao mall.

Fried shell (mussel pancake) and Pad Thai

Got one of these French custard pie slices at Central Pinklao.  Not the best.  You can find anything in Bangkok, but may not always be what you're expecting.

After a long rest, shower and change of clothes, it was time to get on the MRT (Mass Rapid Transit).

Made it to our destination!

Got there well before they opened so that we could take some nice photos.
