After a brief look-around at Siam BTS station, I made my way down Langsuan Rd to a fantastic restaurant: Krua Nai Baan.
Crispy Catfish w/ Green Mango Salad
Stir-fried Chayotes w/ Shrimp
I think I had a coconut shake as well.
And look what we found at Sindhorn Village! Next time I'll have to try this durian cheesecake.
We walked through the lobby of the Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok. We wanted to check out the lovely garden it shares with the Sindhorn Kempinski Bangkok.
Sindhorn Kempinski has a gorgeous lobby - and that's an understatement. It's worth a visit, even if it's just to escape the city noise. Sip some coffee, enjoy a pastry and listen to music. A blind pianist was performing when we stopped by.
Back at the Kimpton Maa-Lai, we went up to Bar.Yard. To me, Bar.Yard is a top five Bangkok rooftop bar. It may be my personal favorite.
Not sure where I got this photo. I put a check above the Kimpton Maa-Lai. Just in front of it is the Sindhorn Kempinski.
My last stop of the evening was at Four Points by Sheraton Bangkok. There was another rooftop bar I wanted to experience. As it turns out, amBar was quite nice in its own right. It's more of an after-dark experience. There was a pleasant breeze, and it was pretty quiet up there. Anytime you discover a tranquil spot in Bangkok, it's best to make a mental note so you can return.
This fried rice was really good!
On the Grab ride home, I saw the Marble Temple lit up. Gorgeous!
