Going for the Durian

We went inside Iconsiam, one of Bangkok's most impressive malls.

Ahhh.  Durian.

You can find anything in Bangkok's supermarkets.

Durian chips!

The building on the right is the Millennium Hilton Bangkok.  Back in 2017, we went to the rooftop bar there.

They are gathering to see some celebrity.  You see this in a lot of the big malls.  Actors and musicians make appearances to endorse a product.

Hmmmm.  Keep your distance.

Starbucks sells booze.

The building with the gold dome is State Tower.  I have been to a couple of rooftop bars there.

That "wavy" skyscraper in the distance is King Power Mahanakhon.  In the coming days, we will go to the top of it.

I sampled two or three more durian varieties.

We're definitely going to that temple that has the big Buddha.

This is a convenience store or mini-supermarket.  Mainly wanted to point out the temperature scanner, sanitizer and information displayed to help prevent the spread of Covid.  You see this all over Bangkok.  They are very consistent, and diligent.

This is a video I watched months before our trip.  It made me want to see what Iconsiam was all about.
