Met a friend at Central Pinklao, one of Bangkok's huge malls. This mall, though, is off the tourist track, which is wonderful.
Funny to see these 1980s US games. They are in good shape over here. I don't think Thais are intending them to be retro, but to me it's a cool step back in time.
There seems to always be huge pop-up markets set up inside Thailand malls. Or there could be a theme festival for a weekend, week or month. And a lot of what's sold is food - delicious food. Don't be fooled by this photo. It was just after the mall opened. Lunchtime, late afternoon and evenings, it's packed, just like all the malls here.
If you're a Westerner, you can find almost any pleasure you have back home.
Those young people down there are waiting for a Thai celebrity (soap star or singer) who is making an appearance.
