An uncle recently texted this jigsaw puzzle he had just completed, and asked me if I recognized it. It's Bangkok's Grand Palace!
That's Kade to the left of the group, in 2017. We were going to view the Royal Urn in the throne hall on the right. The Thai king, Rama IX, had died earlier in the year and people from all over the country were taking a pilgrimage to see the urn that would hold his ashes after cremation.
Around the one minute mark you will see Bangkok's Grand Palace, in the center. And then the footage will get you closer and closer until, at the 1 m 16 s mark, you can see the jigsaw puzzle vantage point. The Thai royals use this palace for important functions, like receiving foreign dignitaries, but they live in another area of Bangkok.
Click here for photos and video of our time viewing the Royal Urn.
