Bali Excursions

Kerta Gosa in Klungkung, Bali

When you're in Bali, and you're wearing shorts, if you're going to a temple, be ready to wrap a sarong around your waist.  Otherwise, you won't be allowed to enter.  Here I am with a German tourist in front of the Elephant Cave, which was built in the 9th century.  After that (below), we went to Besakih Temple.  Unfortunately, the skies opened up and we were caught in real downpour.  We ended up only viewing the temple from the bottom of the massive stairs.  My biggest regret about my trips to Bali is not taking advantage of more small group tours, and not exploring even more of the island.  I could definitely return.
