One of my students is on the left. The rest are kids in the neighborhood who always would speak to us. Living in Uzbekistan at the time, it was almost like you were a little bit like a celebrity. We got a lot of attention. In this scan, I am showing a badly sprained ankle I got from playing basketball one evening at a nearby gym.
That's not our apartment ahead. Ours was behind. But pretty much each day, when we walked to the metro, we would walk (from left to right) past this building. There were a few stores where some groceries - I remember that.
And then we moved to another apartment. These were our neighbors.
