Brain Food

Just outside the hotel were a couple of motorbike food carts.  We chose this Isaan one for Northeastern Thai foods.  I had my eyes focused on some chicken and grilled pork, which had just been grilled and was practically sizzling on the green banana leaf in front of the cart.  The meats looked really juicy, and I needed some quick brain food.

This cuttlefish cart was next to it.  Pressed and grilled cuttlefish and all types of skewered grilled meats are common street foods in Thailand.  You can now buy the same kind of cuttlefish snacks in convenience stores and supermarkets, so these carts may disappear in a generation.
