In our early dating days, Kade and I took a trip to Koh Samet, an island just south of the coastal city Rayong, not too far from Bangkok. Kade's mother actually went with us. I remember we stayed one night in Rayong before catching the ferry the next morning to Koh Samet, where we stayed a few days on Had Sai Keaw Beach. The ultimately purpose of this trip along the coast was so I could cross the border, by foot, into Cambodia, then return right back to Thailand with a renewed visa. Koh Samet was going to be our place for some fun. And it was that!
