We started out going to the San Patong Buffalo Market. We went shortly after sunrise, and it was quite a ride out of town. I would really only recommend this market if you are looking for something very local to do. When we were done, we rode a Songthaew back into town, first stopping at a big supermarket for an early lunch and some fruits.
The sweet lychee and mangosteen attracted ants!
In the evening, we really enjoyed the Saturday Night Market aka Wua Lai Walking Street. It was a much larger market than we expected, and it was very interesting. You can find almost anything to eat, which is why I wanted to go. There's also a beautiful temple: Wat Sri Suphan or Silver Temple.
We capped off the evening with drinks at a couple of cocktail bars.
We walked 6.89 miles on the day, which ended up being our most in Chiang Mai.
