Anytime I went inside a big hotel or office building to get to a rooftop bar or viewpoint, I walked by a beautiful Christmas tree. And then there are the enormous malls - some of the biggest in the world. They were really decorated.

Q: Beautiful Christmas trees and decorations! I am surprised. I didn’t realize there are enough Christians there for them to have those.A: They just celebrate the secular aspects of Christmas. And the decorations are mainly for tourists and expats to feel welcome and to shop. Christmas is not an official holiday in Thailand. It's a normal working day. Thailand is 90% Buddhist, 5% Muslim, 2% Christian.
