Old City Temple Tour

Before starting the temple tour, we decided to go try some Khao Soi at a local restaurant recommended by one of the ladies working the front desk at the hotel.

There it is!  Hard to believe it was the only bowl of it I tried while in Chiang Mai.

This is the self-guided walking tour provided by Lonely Planet Thailand.  We had already gotten some decent looks at a few of these temples while strolling and eating our way down the Sunday Walking Street market.  However, since I knew it might be my last time visiting Chiang Mai, it was important to do as much of this walk as possible and to make sure I saw all the significant temples.  There are 400 temples in the Chiang Mai area.  After viewing this post, click here for 75 Temples of Chiang Mai's Old Town.

There are so many refreshing drinks to try!  I had a sago mango smoothie.

I was happy to find the "Three Kings Monument."

Now that's a surprise!

We ended up walking 4.56 miles, and we saw about eight temples.

I gave Binky a try our last evening in town.  Thought it was pretty good.

I ended my last night in Chiang Mai the way we started it.

It's always a struggle getting ready to leave.  Oh my!
