Klong Toey Market

This is Bangkok's largest market, and it's not for the squeamish.  Andrew Zimmern of Bizarre Foods lists it as one of the best markets in the entire world.  It's in a working class area of Bangkok, and off the beaten path from where most tourists and expats are, so I personally had not seen it until this trip. I had heard about it. of course, and always wanted to go, but like with a lot of things in chaotic, enormous, lots-to-do Bangkok, I just never got around to it.  At Klong Toey Market (also spelled Klong Toei ), with humans perhaps being the only exception, if it can be eaten, you can get it .  And if you're a person who believes you need to know where your food comes from, take a walk through this market.  You would be thrilled, overwhelmed, bedazzled and likely horrified.  I would encourage you to watch Mark Weins' video first, then after that, see my photos. It was so hot when Kade and went - and it was in the morning!- we walked around the perimeter and down a few of the pathways to the center.  We saw a lot, but clearly only scratched the surface.
