Chekhov's Melikhovo

This is my friend Timour and a couple of his Tashkent (Uzbekistan) relatives enjoying a visit to Melikhovo.  Timour lives in Moscow, 1.5 hours north of Melikhovao.

the writer Anton Chekhov's time at his home at the Melikhovo estate and how it later became a museum.

Kade and I rode a tram by Chekhov's Moscow home on a rainy day during our visit in 2007!  I wanted to tour the home.

We toured Tolstoy's Moscow home, and the apartments of Dostoyevsky and Pushkin in St. Petersburg.  Fascinating.

When Hemingway discovered the works of the Russian greats while in Paris, he said all other writers are "near beer" in comparison.
