89 Sky Bar is on Soi 4. It's an okay rooftop bar. And again, it's one of the ones open during the day, which has its benefits. Based on my experience, I'd say 1/3 of rooftop bars open all day. I personally don't prefer going during the hottest part of the day. 5 PM until sunset is actually my ideal.
The tall buiding over to the right is One City Centre (OCC), home of Akara Sky Hanuman Bangkok rooftop bar. Straight ahead is Hotel Indigo, which has Char Rooftop Bar, still one of the best. Char is a top ten one to me!
There's Hotel Indigo.
I was not that impressed with Rainforest Rooftop Bar. It may be one of those that really come to life in the evening. Who knows? Maybe one day I'll try it again.
I took this image (exterior of Emporium) while on the skywalk that leads to EmSphere. I was on my way to TRIBE.
The slim grey building (center-right) is Hyatt Place Bangkok. I stayed there once.
That's EmQuartier, one of the city's luxury malls.
The music and people-watching at TRIBE are worth at least one visit.
I loved the sushi, calamari and whatever I was drinking.
On my way to a more humble rooftop bar - Tt.
The downside of Tt Rooftop Bar is that you must walk up several flights of rickety stairs to get to it.
Next up was Siam@Siam Design Hotel. I had been there years ago to a rooftop bar. But that rooftop bar is no more. Instead, they have a better one: Paradise Lost.
Can you believe that Michael Jackson performed in that stadium in the early 90s?! Kade saw him!
In the distance, straight back there, is Iconsiam.
That's the MBK shopping mall.
Holiday Inn Express Siam is a good place to stay.
Do you see King Power Mahanakhon?
This was my first time ever trying fried insects!
I took a GRAB home.
I'm counting TRIBE as a rooftop bar.
