This is an e-mail I send to my brother and a Japanese friend, Kyoko, in 2013. We were sharing travel ideas and plans.
Sure. But another aspect of France (besides wine) interests me more: raw oysters!
My travel bucket list:
- spend two weeks in France on a raw oyster hunt...Paris down the coast to topless beaches!
-spend two weeks in Japan w/ locals trying the best sashimi, sushi and other delicacies
-backpack around mainland China for three weeks
-drive from Miami to Key West
-take trans-Mongolian railway from Moscow to Beijing
-spend three weeks on eating tour of Italy
-spend four weeks backpacking around South America
-travel up east coast of Maine (USA), crossing into Canada and then back to Niagara Falls USA)
-drive from San Francisco to Los Angeles, enjoying wine country and Hollywood!
Then I could die peacefully!
btw, on Anthony Bourdain's parts unknown, the Quebec show (last week), it was all about high quality French cuisine and wines. Montreal, Quebec City, etc.
