Mr. John Jolly Espy?
My friend and I tried this calamari at Viva on Soi 8. This friend has lived in Bangkok 20+ years. He knows the good spots.
After our meal, we took a shortcut over to Soi 4. This hotel has been around a while.
The next stop was my idea: RedSquare Rooftop Bar. It's at Novotel Bangkok Sukhumvit.
One thing I always try to do is is get to the rooftops about an hour before sunset. I like fewer people and the skyline views.
I don't always drink a cocktail when I visit a rooftop bar in Bangkok. Occasionally, it's a mocktail. In this case, it's a couple of fruit shakes.

Since RedSquare is on Soi 4, afterwards, it was an easy walk down to Nana Plaza. We just sat inside of bar (soi-side seats) and did some people-watching. Nana is a wild and interesting place!
The King is everywhere!
And The Prince!
Counting my morning walk over in the Old Town, I got in around 8 miles on the day.
