If you are interested in trying durian in Southeast Asia, here are some very reputable places in Malaysia and Singapore where you can buy it.  And at these places, you can sit at tables or stand at counters and eat your durian on the spot.  You can also take it home!  I've read numerous travel blogs/websites and watched an untold number of YouTube videos to come up with this list.  These sellers represent a tiny fraction of what we'll see this July in Penang, so that's why it's important to research and create a gameplan ahead of time.  I doubt we will make it to Kuala Lumpur or Singapore this trip.  Penang, though, is where a lot of the best durian farms are.  You've got to go to the source.
