Paris, Day 2

Our Airbnb hostess surprised us with treats one morning.  Helped us get our day started.  We also made coffee in the apartment.  When we were out during the day, we would get an "afternoon coffee" at one of the cafes for which Paris is known.

When you get an Airbnb, sometimes there are some unexpected issues.  You had to be really carefully exiting this shower.

Although we had a dryer, we loved this aspect of our Paris apartment.  Better for clothes.

We had our share of very mediocre meals in Paris.   Yes, it's very possible.  This was one.

My uncle's death penalty research is archived at UAlbany (SUNY Albany).  Saw this sweatshirt, and had to send a photo back to his friends.

The two images above reminded me of Asheville, NC!

My mother loved Elizabeth Taylor, and said that, on occasion, people would say she resembled her.  Definitely thought of her when we saw this.  And I think this Elizabeth "montage" is an Andy Warhol creation.  I will check.  The Pompidou Center turned out to be one of our favorite stops!  We spent a few hours there and in the vicinity.  The views from of Paris from the Pompidou were really nice.  Click here to see.
