We will miss these cats!
Before our departure, we went to a restaurant right across the road from the train station (above). We got some more fries and a decent meal. Next to us were a couple of guys from the UK, and we had a good time talking with them.
Had brief scare at station. Big area cordoned off, lots of police and military with guns. Soon after, shouts by police for everybody to move back quickly. We left station immediately. Not sure what happened. I think it was likely a problem on board an incoming train. Terrorism or deranged person. Within 30 minutes all normal. Click here for an article about the incident.

While on the train we reflected a bit on our time in Paris. Our top five experiences:
