Sampeng Lane Market

I just turned on the camcorder and walked through this bustling, chaotic market.  If I could drop a person from my hometown (Headland, Alabama) somewhere in Bangkok to see if they could truly fend for themselves, this might just be the place.  They would be in a state of shock, yet feel amazed at the same time.

Sampeng Lane is one of Bangkok Chinatown’s narrow alleyways where items such as garments, accessories, household appliances and others can be purchased. Sampeng Lane, otherwise known as Soi Wanit 1, comprises of the entire alley and all the little lanes that connect to it. It is the oldest market in the city and still has some of its old charm. - source
