When Kade was working at
Jim Thompson in
Bangkok she saw a man in the shop that she thought she recognized. She walked over and asked, "Aren't you a Hollywood superstar?" Turns out it was Matt Dillon. He had been filming a movie in neighboring Cambodia. Kade said he was nice and very funny. He had a photo taken with all the gals! When I can get it, I will post it here. Kade also said that just the night before she had seen a movie that him in it, so that's why his face was fresh on her mind. How funny!
Some other names that have been associated with
Jim Thompson in the past, either attending a party at his legendary Bangkok home or just shopping for high quality silk that bears his name, are: Jackie Kennedy Onassis, Leonardo DiCaprio and Hillary Clinton. When I get a more extensive list, I will post the names here.
