Chiang Dao, Northern Thailand

My Swedish friend Bjorn built this country home in the highlands of Northern Thailand a few years ago.  Just a beautiful property.  Check out more of it here.  Bjorn just sold it late last year prior to moving to Colombia. 

I never got the chance to stay at Bjorn's Thailand mountain retreat, even though he generously offered free accommodation whenever I visited him in Chiang Dao.  The irony is, he's now coming to visit us in Asheville, North Carolina this summer.  And I plan to show him our own mountains!
