I posted a photo of Timour and his father that I made on my Moscow visit in 2007. Also, I have posted some interesting videos of Vladimir. The last one is a wonderful program made for Russian TV. You might pick up some of the language if you watch it!

Vladimir
Timour passed through Volgograd (by car) and many more cities on his way to Cheboksary in the Republic of Chuvash. There, Timour and Marina visited Marina's parents and friends. Another stop on the trip was to see his dad in Vladimir, a Golden Ring City about 120 miles east of Moscow. Vladimir is named after a Russian Prince named Vladimir Monomakh. Here's the city monument to Prince Vladimir. The city of Vladimir itself is 900 years old, and archaeological findings indicate human settlements that go back 25,000 years.
