Japan Fever, Bow-Style

Bow is one of my former students in Bangkok. She and some of her friends took a trip to three Japanese cities: Hiroshima, Osaka and Kyoto. I would recommend these Western Japanese cities to anyone who has an interest in the country's culture, history and cuisine. Kyoto is the ancient capital of Japan, and a place where you're likely to see a Geisha girl. Osaka is a metropolis that teems with pulsating nightlife and high-tech gadgetry. Hiroshima is home to the A Bomb Museum and a delicious dish, Okonomiyaki.

  2. Thanks Bow. That's interesting. Sometimes the best things happen by accident! I too loved Hiroshima. Personally, I liked Kyoto better, but perhaps had I stayed in Hiroshima a few more days I would share your enthusiasm for Hiroshima.. The A Bomb Museum was eye-opening! I also loved the Shinkansen (bullet train). Glad you had a great time. Keep me posted when you travel again!
